Dakota Stones carries turquoise from seven countries because we genuinely can't get enough of it.
The Sleeping Beauty Mine in Arizona, known for rich, sky blues, and a pure organic look, stopped producing turqoiuse in August 2012!
These strands are extremely difficult to restock because the mine has not produced any new Sleeping Beauty turquoise in nearly 15 years!
So anytime Dakota Stones has the opportunity to buy authentic, rich, pure, sky blue Sleeping Beauty beads, well, we just can't get enough of them.
from the richly veined material of Hubei province to rare North American strands that won't be around forever. We've spent years building relationships with the people who mine and cut it, learning what makes each origin unique and why it matters to the designers who use it.
