This Griffin 100% silk cord has a custom Bead Snob® Dye Job® that’s EXCLUSIVE to Dakota Stones®.

The shades in this rainbow were blended to pair beautifully with Dakota Stones vast assortment of Turquoise along with some long-time Dakota Stones favorite stone types like Howlite, White African Opal, African Turquoise, Garnet, Crazy Lace Agate, Lapis, and Citrine.

With a built-in stainless-steel needle, this tightly twisted Griffin silk cord is, simply put, the highest quality, most thoughtfully constructed silk cord available.

If you’re new to knotting, keep in mind that selecting the “right” cord size is a little bit art and a little bit science. In general, the best cord size is one where the beads slide easily over the eye of the built-in needle and across the length of the silk, while filling the hole of the bead enough that a fully tightened knot doesn’t pull through. Since most beads you get from Dakota Stones will be ultrasonically drilled to either .8mm or 1mm, sizes 6 or 8 will likely be your best bet. For hand drilled beads (like pearls) there’s a bit more trial and error and guess work, so it can be helpful to save leftover cord to test beads for future knotting projects!

Friendly reminder that silk is known for its excellent elastic strength, but it can still be damaged by abrasion or compromised by exposure to moisture and chemicals. Apply hair products, skincare, perfume, and makeup BEFORE putting on jewelry made with silk cord. Avoid getting this silk wet and do not wear it while using a sauna or an activity where you sweat.
