The Limited Editions section is where we drop our rare rare stone types, experimental cuts and design tested strands. These beads come from small batches of rare rough, trial cuts in new shapes or finishes, and single-lot discoveries we may never see again or manufacture in bigger lots. When it's gone, it’s gone. Which makes your jewelry design all the more exclusive.

Stones that rarely reach the bead market
Rarity here means the stone itself. Afghanite, grandidierite, eudialyte, sugilite, trolleite — minerals from small deposits that are seldom cut into beads at all. When a cutter runs strands of material like this, the lot is small, and we buy the lot. Roman glass is cut from ancient shards; the supply is fixed. Most of what is on this page will not be cut again.
Cuts we ran once
Many of these strands are cutting runs that happened once. Carved leaves in amethyst, labradorite, peach moonstone, and green onyx. Lemon quartz faceted into 14mm stars and 8x16mm teeth. Table-cut cubes and microfaceted rondelles down to 1.5x2.5mm in stones that normally sell as plain rounds — seraphinite, atlantisite, grandidierite. Persian turquoise in hand-cut heishi and irregular rectangles. A cut that proves itself may join the main catalog; most stay a single run.
Shapes you will not see again
The shapes run free-form: graduated ovals and side-drill nuggets in Egyptian turquoise, pebbles, top-drill teeth and irregular drops, marquise-cut Kentucky agate, sea urchin sticks where sizes vary strand to strand. Sizes on irregular material are listed as ranges, because that is what is on the strand. Free-form rough cannot be re-cut to match, so the strand you buy is the only one like it. A piece built around it will not be duplicated.

What makes a strand a limited edition?
Each listing is a single lot: rare rough that seldom reaches the bead market, a first-run cut, or a small parcel bought at a show. We list what the lot yields. When it sells out, the listing retires. -
Will a sold-out limited edition be restocked?
The lot itself will not. A popular cut sometimes returns in a new lot or earns a place in the main catalog, but color and matrix shift from lot to lot, so a new run will not match the old one. -
How is this different from New Arrivals?
New Arrivals is where fresh catalog material lands before it is sorted into the main collections. Limited Editions is material that was never headed for the permanent catalog — one-time lots that sell through and retire. -
Are limited editions graded and treatment-disclosed?
Yes. The standards are the same as the rest of the catalog: graded lots carry A, AA, or AAA in the title, sizes are in millimeters, and treatments are named — dyed, compressed, and stabilized material is labeled as such in the product title. -
How much should I buy?
Enough to finish the design, plus repair stock if the piece will sell. A sold-out lot cannot be rematched, and even the same stone varies between lots.
