Bloodstone most commonly refers to green Jasper with red inclusions consisting of Hematite. Naturally occuring in hues of blue to green to green with spots and streaks of red, Bloodstone was known in antiquity as Heliotrope, the Sun Stone. It has been treasured for its beauty throughout history and used extensively for adornment in jewelry as well as works of art.
