The copper mines in Globe are near an Apache Native American Reservation, and for a while, this copper mine was one of the most lucrative in American. Because turquoise grows alongside copper when it is introduced to water, it is only inevitable that you find turquoise with copper.

Castle Dome turquoise is part of the same vein as Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, and has the same bright blue coloring. What distinguishes the two from one another is that Castle Done turquoise has inclusions of pyrite.
