Green Forest Jasper ranges in color from a grayish blue-green to pale pink, mauve and dusty purple. It can be randomly spotted or display banded patterns of these colors. Jasper has a long and illustrious history, and is traceable to virtually all ancient civilizations. The ancient Egyptians carved amulets of Jasper to be buried with their deceased to ensure safe passage to the afterlife. Jasper was also considered a “rain bringer” by Native American cultures.
